And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
God’s first commandment is to love him with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Then in the Bible, the next verse says to love your neighbor.
While I have often heard of this verse presented as loving other folks who are not your family members, I believe that it applies to your family. If you can’t love your family, then how are you to love others?
Let’s put your husband in the verse instead of neighbor. Love your husband as yourself. Makes a difference. But your husband IS your neighbor. God wants us to love our husbands.
